Can I construct a pre-baseline trigger?

I noted that the module pre close trigger does not fire when creating a baseline. This is rather surprising to me, since I would rate the current module being closed at the moment of freezing it into a baseline.
The intention is to ensure updated data in backup attributes of DXL attributes. We have a pre close trigger doing that when leaving edit mode. This trigger can not cover the following scenario:

  • The user unlocks all section prior leaving shareable edit mode.
We could neglect this if we ensure the update of backup attributes prior creating a baseline.

Markus,

We have a similar requirement to store Object Data into Backup Attributes, but we only do this upon creation of a new Baseline.

The way I have implemented this is to have a Trigger which is activated each time a Formal Module is opened.

The Trigger then checks the current Module Version and compares it to the Module Version previously stored into a Module Attribute. If they are different, then the Module has been Baselined.

At this point the Module Version Attribute is overwritten to the current value, and then the Object Data is copied into the Backup Attributes.

Hope this helps.
